On 16 December 2023, The Chedi Andermatt will start its winter season, and this year, too, it knows how to skilfully set the scene for winter at 1,447 metres above sea level. In the heart of Switzerland, Asian-inspired elements meet Alpine chic and unite in an architectural masterpiece. The casual interpretation of luxury and the authentic hospitality are palpable - from the 2,400 sqm spa to the probably most exciting hotel bar in Switzerland to The Restaurant with 15 GaultMillau points, The Japanese Restaurant with newly 2 Michelin stars and 17 GaultMillau points and The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt on the Gütsch with a Michelin star and 16 GaultMillau points. A combination that makes the 5-star deluxe resort "Different to all".

The Winter Village

Relax, stroll, enjoy or simply be. The spacious outdoor area of The Courtyard is transformed into a small, pretty winter village during the winter season. Built with lots of wood in The Chedi style, guests walk along snow-covered paths through an enchanting winter landscape and feel as if they are in a wintry forest thanks to the dense and tall fir trees. You almost forget that you are at The Chedi Andermatt. In the middle of the real fir forest with small clearings, guests will find the traditional The Chalet, The Kota for intimate culinary moments, a lively village square and a hidden Finnish barrel sauna. And the latest highlight in the authentic winter landscape: The Dome. A glass cube of around 30 sqm under the starry sky. In this almost magical space, you can get together over a drink, dine or enjoy an after-snow aperitif in a private atmosphere. The Winter Village will be available for private events from November 2023. By mid-December 2023, and depending on the weather, full seven-day operation for hotel and external guests will gradually commence.

HEAD Ski Masterclass: Off to the slopes with Didier Cuche

The Chedi Andermatt and HEAD enjoy a successful partnership. Now, on 2. and 3. February 2024, they are inviting guests to an exclusive Ski Masterclass with 2009 Super-G World Champion and HEAD brand ambassador Didier Cuche. The winter dream team ensures perfect conditions from arrival to farewell: The Chedi Andermatt stands for first-class service as well as excellent culinary moments. HEAD is responsible for ski equipment perfectly tailored to the needs of the guests, while 21-time World Cup winner and HEAD brand ambassador Didier Cuche takes on the role of ski instructor in the largest ski resort in central Switzerland. How do you pull off the perfect carving turn in the snow? How does the ideal downhill squat go? How crucial is the optimal set-up and what needs to be considered in terms of equipment? How high is the pulse in the start house of the Streif? Skiing, philosophising, getting answers directly from the pros and perhaps learning some insights from the ski circus - there are also plenty of opportunities for this during the masterclass for experienced skiers at The Chedi Andermatt.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides and The Chedi Bear Club

Those who prefer a quieter and more leisurely pace should treat themselves to a horse-drawn sleigh ride. On selected dates in December 2023 and February 2024, the snorting of the horses and the bells on their sleighs can once again be heard around Andermatt. A romantic way to discover the surroundings of the charming mountain village on two runners in a horse-drawn sleigh. Snuggled up in warm blankets and faux fur, you literally float through the snow-covered landscape. Even the youngest guests will not get bored at The Chedi Andermatt. From 9 December 2023, the motto at The Chedi Bear Club will be "fun, games and toys". An exciting entertainment programme awaits the little ones, which will make their eyes light up.
