Le Grand Bellevue

Elegant fine dining, Swiss specialities and drinking in style...

Awarded 15 Gault-Millau points, LEONARD's is Le Grand Bellevue's elegant highlight, serving refined international cuisine. Despite the kitchen's rarefied reputation, there's nothing stuffy or over-formal here; chef Francesco De Bartolomeis presents a menu that walks the line between haute brasserie dining and gastro-pub heartiness. Whether you fancy a classic rack of lamb in herbal crust or a delicate fillet of sea bass, LEONARD's offers refined, innovative cuisine in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

For aperitifs, nightcaps and everything in between, the hotel's debonair art deco Bar evokes the 1930s heyday of Hemingway, with its room-length leather Chesterfield and cunning way with cocktails.
There's more to dining at Le Grand Bellevue than LEONARD's, however. The hotel's innovative afternoon tea in the Lounge is famed throughout the region, The Sushi Bar provides exquisite Japanese light meals and, in the gardens, intimate wooden cabin Le Petit Chalet serves Swiss cheese specialities including raclette and fondue to just 18 diners. In summer, its oak-shaded terrace is one of the finest spots in Gstaad to enjoy a glass of wine.

And, thanks to the 9,000 bottles in LEONARD's cellar, wine is something of a speciality here. Le Grande Bellevue's sommelier arranges regular themed tastings, and the chic space can also be commandeered for private wine dinners and special events.
