Lake Staz (Lej da Staz) Loop

  • Why it works: An easy, flat 5-kilometre loop circling the forest-framed Lake Staz. Paved and gravel paths make it stroller-friendly — ideal for a relaxed morning run.

  • Summer access: Open year-round. Start from St. Moritz Bad (just below the hotel), and youʼre off.

Heidi’s Flower Trail & Schellenursli - Path to Heidi’s Hut

  • Why it works: Fun, easy, and downright charming — a short themed trail leading to the original Heidi Hut above St. Moritz. Beautiful wildflowers add colour.

  • Where & how: Take the funicular from St. Moritz to Chantarella, then follow a roughly 1-kilometre trail (20 minutes, 18-metre elevation) to the hut. Return via the storytelling Schellenursliweg, a 2.4-kilometre downhill experience.

  • Open in summer? Yes — open all day, trails accessible and suitable even with pushchairs.

Val Roseg (via Fuorcla Surlej)

  • Why it works: A moderate, scenic journey through forests, meadows, and glacier views. It’s a satisfying mix of challenge and beauty.

  • Route: Start by taking the Corvatsch lift to Murtèl, then a moderate ascent to Fuorcla Surlej before descending into Val Roseg. Return via Pontresina. This loop is about 13.5 kilometres total.

Morteratsch Glacier Easy Run

  • Why it works: A fascinating and family-friendly trail right to the glacierʼs edge — hard-packed trail, wide gravel; perfect for runners seeking awe without too much effort.

  • Distance & terrain: Around 6-kilometre round trip, with only ~155 metres elevation gain – open from late June through October.

Great Lakes Circuit (Silvaplana & Sils)

  • Why it works: Wide, flat gravel paths stretch around Silvaplana and Sils and are a favourite for runners seeking long, scenic loops with minimal elevation.

  • Distance flexibility: You can go as far as 30+ kilometres, depending on your energy. Peak reflections make early starts especially magical.
