Yakumanka by Gaston Acurio – Authentic Peruvian Cuisine
Mandarin Oriental, Geneva’s two restaurants, Rasoi by Vineet and Yakumanka along with the hotel’s chic MO Bar, are the city’s most stylish venues for gourmands.
The acclaimed star of Peruvian cuisine, Gaston Acurio, has enriched the local culinary scene ever since the opening of Yakumanka in 2019. The restaurant is headed by Chef César Bellido, Gaston Acurio's right-hand, who worked with him at the celebrated Astrid y Gaston restaurant, and was involved in opening the Yakumanka restaurant in Barcelona in 2017. An open kitchen with a long bar where chefs prepare ceviches and tiraditos form the heart of the restaurant. The bar offering a wide selection of pisco-based cocktails, has a warm and relaxed ambiance, with decor by designer Morendi Arcela, reminiscent of an authentic Peruvian cevicheria. The simple, marine-style elements of wood or rope are inspired by the popular local restaurants of Peru.
The Indian restaurant Rasoi by Vineet offers the cuisine of Michelin starred Chef Vineet Bhatia, who specialises in deliciously spectacular evolved Indian food. The restaurant is decorated with vibrant colours of Indian reds and purples with silver leaf set into rich woods and stone surfaces. It oozes luxury and warmth with a touch of Indian charm.
Complementing the choice of restaurants, the hotel also offers the stylish MO Bar; a fun and elegant setting to enjoy an array of contemporary and classic cocktails and delicious tapas-style food, served throughout the day.
